ABOUT
How far will you go to save your home?
How much are you willing to sacrifice for the people you love most?
These are questions at the heart of the a neo-western, crime drama – THE DELIVERER.
Trinidad and Venezuela are separated by only seven miles of water. It is in this arena that operates one of the most dangerous yet profitable drug routes anywhere in the Caribbean Basin. It is here the action of The Deliverer unfolds.
This film will unapologetically lens the narrative through a rarely seen Caribbean perspective. It will boldly interrogate some of the most urgent geo-political and sociological issues facing our world today, like the drug trade, the exploitation of developing economies by predatory multinationals, and forced migration, among others.
The audience will go on a deeply emotional journey with this fisherman and his family as they try to save their village. They will feel the harrowing realities juxtaposed against the idealized postcard beauty of the Caribbean.
We have produced a proof of concept short film that has been screened at multiple film festivals, and a Sundance Institute short-listed finalist screenplay.
Principle photography on the feature begins May 2024.
Synopsis
The DELIVERER is a neo-western drama set in a fictitious fishing village on the south coast of Trinidad. The story revolves around a Trinidadian fisherman on a hunger strike to save his village from being destroyed and replaced by a multinational factory.
However, things take a dramatic turn when his son is kidnapped at sea by Venezuelan pirates. In a desperate attempt to save his son and his village from corrupt enemies, he partners with an asylum-seeking Venezuelan refugee in a dangerous pact to bring both their families to safety.
The film beautifully portrays the intersecting storylines of characters who float between the worlds of Trinidad and Venezuela, taking the audience on an incredibly thrilling emotional odyssey of resilience and salvation.

Reviews
"This was an enjoyable read and there’s a lot to like about this script. Strong dialogue, interesting story based on true events, high stakes, continuous conflict, well-crafted scene descriptions, strong theme representation and a tragic protagonist. The writer is definitely knowledgeable in all aspects of this culture(music, food, traditions, language). I felt completely immersed in this world."
